🚀GPT-4 Unleashed: The AI That Can Do It All, But Can We Trust It?

Hold on to your hats, folks, because OpenAI just dropped their latest AI technology bombshell: GPT-4! This bad boy is even more impressive than its predecessor, ChatGPT, which has already taken the world by storm.

So, what can GPT-4 do, you ask? Well, get ready for this: it can diagnose patients, write software, play chess, author articles, and a whole lot more. And according to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, this is just the beginning. He tweeted last month that the amount of intelligence in the universe doubles every 18 months, so buckle up, people!

Now, before you start thinking that GPT-4 is perfect, let's address some of its surface problems. It's limited by an extensive set of human-crafted "guardrails" to prevent it from going off the rails and being offensive or inappropriate. It's not exactly bilingual or multilingual, and it can't analyze audio or video (yet). Oh, and it still makes arithmetic errors that a calculator would avoid.

But hold up, that's not the point. These are just minor setbacks in the grand scheme of things. And as for its lack of trustworthiness, well, it's a work in progress. Like ChatGPT, it "hallucinates" and can make up facts and sources. Yikes. But hey, nobody's perfect, right?

So, what does this mean for the future of our information economy, jobs, education, politics, and our understanding of what it means to be intelligent and creative? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: GPT-4 and its fellow AI technology have fundamental limitations that will not be overcome anytime soon.

For example, GPT-4 may be infinitely creative and surprising in its responses, but it can't design complex artifacts. And while it can simulate empathy, it can't feel it like a human can. Plus, it's important to remember that GPT models are tools that operate at our behest. They're not autonomous, so we're the ones calling the shots.

So, even though GPT-4 is a groundbreaking advancement in the world of AI, we humans are still the ones in the driver's seat. As Pablo Picasso once said, "Computers are useless. They only give you answers." So let's make sure we're asking the right questions and using GPT-4 for good, not evil.

Well, it looks like Google is feeling a little threatened by OpenAI's ChatGPT, so they're pulling out all the stops. Their new strategy? Just shove AI into everything like they did with social features back in the Google+ days. I mean, who needs real human creativity and intelligence when you can just rely on a bot to draft your emails and write your documents, am I right? But don't worry, Google promises that their AI won't turn out like Microsoft's, so it's all good. Just sit back, relax, and let the machines take over. What could possibly go wrong?
